Matt Blazynski - Assistant Coach

Matt Blazynski is entering his first year as a member of the Wildcat coaching staff. He is entering the coaching ranks for the first time, with a successful on-the-field resume, and will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. His responsibilities will be working with the catchers, and will also have a substantial role in recruiting. Matt was a highly touted prep star at Devon Preparatory School, twice being named All-Conference, and to the prestigious Carpenter Cup Teams, along with being named a top 50 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania by Baseball America.

Matt began his college career at the University of Cincinnati, where he was a member of the Bearcats for two years before transferring to Delaware County Community College. While at DCCC, Matt was twice named to the All-Conference and All-Region Teams as a catcher, and set single season and career marks in home runs, RBI’s, slugging percentage, and base runners thrown out. He then chose to forego his final eligibility and pursue a career in professional baseball, and signed with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League.

Coach Blazynski currently resides in his hometown of Phoenixville. PA. He continues his playing career in both the Perkiomen Valley Twilight League, with the Nor-Gwyn Packers, where he also is an assistant coach, as well with the Gildea’s Raiders of the Delaware Semi-Pro League.
