Rich Groff begins his twelfth season on the Wildcat staff and will continue to serve as an assistant coach.

Coach Groff was a member of the 2000 Region X championship team at Wilmington University during his senior season. Following that season he was named as an Honorable Mention All-American and led the team in innings pitched and was second in wins.

Groff played his first two seasons at Cecil Community College and came to Wilmington for the 1999 season. During his career he compiled a 26-13 record.

His primary responsibilities will be to work with the pitchers and helps with the recruiting efforts. Coach Groff will also continue to be the first base coach for the Wildcats.

He currently works in the University's athletics department as the athletics grounds and facilities manager.

Coach Groff resides in Bear with his wife Kelly and infant son Owen.
