Biography

Jeffrey Martino is entering his seventh year as the head coach of the Wilmington University Cheerleading Team. The Wildcats earned their second consecutive national championship last year at the 2013 UCA College National Championships in Division II Small Co-Ed.

He is a former four-year varsity member and two-year captain of the University of Delaware Cheerleading squad who captured the 2001 UCA College National Championship. Martino also is founder and host of the annual cheerleading competition, “Cheer for Charity”, which benefits A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, which has raised over $175,000 in 7 years. He was the former co-owner and operator of Tri-State CheerNastics from 2004 to 2011. Martino is the current president re-elect of the Delaware Cheerleading Coaches Association and has implemented many new programs for DCCA including the annual coaches' clinic and the high school senior scholarship program. He is AACCA certified and a USASF safety judge.
