Bill Bush returns to Wilmington University where he spent four previous seasons as an Assistant Coach of the Wildcat golf program. Bill had left Wilmington University to build a new golf team as Head Coach of the Jaguars Golf Team at Appoquinimick High School in Middletown, Del., where he enjoyed three productive seasons, two as undefeated Conference Champions.
Bush continues his work in the golf field even today by helping all golfers play their best golf where he is currently employed at Golfsmith International as their Master Club Fitter and Clubmaking Specialist. Bill holds certifications in every OEM (original equipment manufacturer) offered to golfers to date.
He partnered with Max Out Golf, LLC 2009 in their Delaware location at the Back Creek Course where he mentored under Mitch Voges, the 1991 US Amateur Champion. Bill applies this knowledge and ability to re-build current equipment or build new clubs to exact custom fitting specifications meeting the needs of a golfer's individual swing technique, enabling them to play to their best ability.
Bush is a Professional Clubmaker and a member of the Golf Clubmakers Association (GCA) and has obtained his Professional Accreditation over the past several years. Bill achieved the GCA's highest level, Advanced, in January 2006. Bill has studied his instruction in quality clubmaking at the Golfsmith Training School located in Austin, Texas, and he has successfully completed the industry standard, The Complete Clubmakers Training as well as the Advanced Clubmaking, Fitting, and Repair Schools. Bill has also been honored numerous times with the prestigious award of Delaware GCA Clubmaker of the Year.
Bush became a fully certified golf instructor with the United States Golf Teaching Federation in 2004 and remains an active member today and applies that knowledge to detect swing flaws in a golfer’s technique during golf club fitting sessions.
He was a co-founder of The Perfect Swing Golf Center, LLC, a full service golf range and training center located in Smyrna, Delaware.
Bush worked in Law Enforcement as a Deputy State Fire Marshal with the State of Delaware where he conducted criminal investigations as an Arson Investigator until his retirement in July 2003.
Bill also served as Past President, Director, and Chairman of the Board with the Christiana Fire Company, where he is currently a Life Member.
