Biography
Steve Shipe begins his third year with the Wilmington University women’s lacrosse program. A volunteer assistant coach, he will work primarily with the goalkeepers.
Shipe played at Hodgson Vo-Tech high school, where he was a captain and earned All-Blue Hen Conference honors three straight seasons. His senior year he was named All-State. Shipe holds state records for saves in a season, saves in a game (52), and career saves.
After high school, he went on to play club lacrosse at the University of Delaware.
Presently, he is also the head boy’s lacrosse coach at Hodgson.
Shipe is also the owner and operator of Flow Lacrosse, a local business which organizes lacrosse leagues for both children and adults.
