
Tim Dunne is in his third year as an assistant coach at Wilmington University.
Dunne returns to NCAA coaching having spent one year in the same capacity at Rutgers University, Camden in 1999. This was Rutgers most successful season in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Before Rutgers, he held assistant positions at Holy Cross, Haddonfield, and Moorestown Friends High Schools.
Most recently, Dunne spent the last two seasons as the head coach at Timber Creek High School in Erial, NJ. He led Timber Creek to the NJSIAA-Group III State Final and the school’s first South Jersey Sectional title in 2008.
Prior to that, he spent eight seasons as the head coach at Pennsauken High School in Pennsauken, NJ. Dunne’s teams collected the Group IV Sectional title in 2004, were Sectional finalists in 2003 & 2007, and won two Olympic Conference Championships in 2004 & 2007.
Recognized as a teacher of the game with deep roots in South Jersey basketball, Dunne places emphasis on hard work, preparation, and academics. As a result, several of his former high school players have gone on to academic and athletic success at the collegiate level.
A South Jersey native, Dunne attended Camden Catholic High School and Rutgers University, earning a bachelor’s of science degree in exercise physiology.
