
Coach Papanicolas begins his eighth year at the helm of the Wildcat Men's Soccer program. The 2006 and 2009 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year, Papanicolas led his 2007 squad to the CACC Championship and the 2009 CACC regular season title. All of his teams have qualified for the playoffs, and the 2007 team broke new ground, garnering the school's first CACC title in the Division II era. The 2009 squad finished the year ranked 15th in the nation, and earned the program's first ever berth in the NCAA East Regional Tournament. In the 2003 season, he was an assistant and was instrumental in the Wildcat's return to the top of the conference with a regular season record of 10-7-3.
Coach Papanicolas came to Wilmington after coaching for three years (2000-2002) at Division III Rowan University, where the team culminated a record of 58-10-2. Nick received his Bachelors degree at Rowan where he was a three year starter on the soccer team. During his tenure as a player, Nick led the team in scoring in his sophomore season and was captain for his junior and senior seasons. In his three years as a player, he led the Profs to three NCAA berths and the 1998 Final Four. Coach Papanicolas holds a Bachelors Degree in Art Education and a Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration. He currently works in the University's Student Life Department .
