Help the Wilmington University basketball teams fight for a win against Holy Family  and help fight the battle against breast cancer all in one night!

Join the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and the men’s and women’s basketball teams at the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness game on Tuesday, February 14. The women are scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. while the men follow at 8 p.m.

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition will be at the games with educational materials and information on how to get involved in the fight against breast cancer. DBCC will have a table outside of the Pratt Center to hand our information and collect donations in the effort of eliminating breast cancer in the near future.

Everyone has been affected in one way or another by breast cancer, whether it is a mom, sister, daughter, grandparent, grandchild, friend, neighbor or coworker, the fight against breast cancer has been near and dear to everyone’s heart. Here’s your chance to help the cause and help spread awareness and raise money for the cure.

Fans are encouraged to join the basketball teams and wear as much pink attire as possible. The teams will don pink warm-up shirts prior to the start of the games, as well as other accessories during the game. It is also Valentine’s Day, so now there is no excuse!

In addition to the Breast Cancer Awareness night, the Wilmington University athletic department will be honoring the 2012 senior class of the cheerleading team. This class helped bring the Wildcats its first National Championship, winning the Small Coed Division II group at the 2012 Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA)/Universal Dance Association (UDA) College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships in January.
