The final regular season Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader for the Wilmington University softball team can't come soon enough on Saturday and now the Wildcats will face Nyack on the road starting at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to help beat the predicted storms in the Orangetown, N.Y. area.

The Wildcats (25-22, 17-7 CACC) are looking to solidify a third place finish in the CACC and can do so with a sweep over Nyack (3-35, 2-20 CACC). One win for the Wildcats would give them their most wins in a CACC season in program history.

Wilmington is tied with Georgian Court in third place heading into the final weekend of play, but hold the tie-breaker as the Wildcats split with each of the top two teams (Dominican and Caldwell) and GCU was swept by each team earlier in the season. The Wildcats and the Lions split their regular season series on Thursday.

The CACC Tournament will begin next Thursday, April 26, with the entire double-elimination tournament being held at Georgian Court. The top two teams receive a bye in the first round.
