After starting the season with eight games on the road, the 2012-13 Wilmington University women’s basketball team is set to play 11 games in the new WU Athletics Complex, highlighting the upcoming schedule announced by first year head coach Tiffany Silver.

The newly appointed coach will battle two NCAA Tournament participants from a season ago, with a non-conference matchup at Bloomsburg on November 26, and twice against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Champion Holy Family, on November 20 and at home on January 29. After earning the CACC automatic berth, the Tigers made it to the third round of the NCAA Tournament before being eliminated.

Silver will have her first game as a collegiate head coach on November 10 at the University of Bridgeport Tip-Off Classic, a two-day tournament against the host Purple Knights and Molloy the following day.

The Wildcats remain on the road for six more contests after the UB Tip-Off Classic, heading to Millersville, Holy Family to start the CACC schedule, NCAA Division I in-state rival Delaware State, Bloomsburg, University of the Sciences, and Post, before playing at home in December.

The Wildcats finally get to open the new WU Athletics Complex on December 4 against Chestnut Hill, and remain at home for five of the next six games. They also round out their non-conference schedule during the longest home stand of the season, playing Washington Adventist on December 6 and Lancaster Bible on December 13.

After a quick road trip to Felician on December 8, the Wildcats are home for four straight, playing cross-town rival Goldey-Beacom on December 10, Lancaster Bible, Georgian Court on December 19 and Dominican after the holiday break on January 5.

The Wildcats will also host University of the Sciences, Holy Family, Nyack, Caldwell and Philadelphia during the rest of the season.

After the New Year, Wilmington will face Goldey-Beacom, Georgian Court, Concordia, Chestnut Hill, Bloomfield and Philadelphia on the road.

The CACC Tournament begins with a quarterfinal matchup at the higher seed on March 2, followed by the semifinals and championship on March 8-9 at the University of Sciences. The Wildcats will look to get back to the Tournament for the first time since earning the fourth seed in the South Division during the 2009-10 season.
