Senior right-hander Katie Warrington didn’t allow an earned run in three games last week, earning her second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week award of the year, announced by the conference office on Monday.

The Townsend, Del. native started three games last week and pitched all 21 innings, going a perfect 3-0. She recorded double-digit strikeouts in each of the contests, while only allowing seven combined hits while walking four total. The only run scored on Warrington last week was unearned, giving her a perfect 0.00 ERA for the week while raising her season record to 11-2.

Warrington’s week started with a 2-1 win over Goldey-Beacom, as she allowed one unearned run on one hit, striking out 13 batters. The Wildcats needed to score a run in the bottom of the seventh to secure the victory, as Warrington kept the team in the ballgame until the very end. She needed only 93 pitches to get through the outing.

In her second game of the week, Warrington struck out 12 University of the Sciences Devils, while only allowing one walk and two base hits. The offense helped Warrington out more in her third outing of the week, a 7-0 victory over Bloomfield on Saturday. Warrington added 11 more strikeouts to her total while only giving up four hits and three walks.

The double-digit strikeout performances give Warrington nine such games this year, tallying a season high 17 against Felician in a nonconference game on March 1.

Georgian Court’s Dara Schoeder was named the CACC Player of the Week after extending her hitting streak to 14 games last week and going 20-for-37. She scored 17 runs in 10 games, knocking in five runs while stealing seven bases.

Caldwell’s Amber Padilla was named the CACC Rookie of the Week after going 3-0 in the circle with a perfect ERA. The freshman blanked defending East Region champion Southern Connecticut State while also tossing shutouts against Post and Holy Family. She struck out a career-high eight batters against the Tigers.

After the Wildcat’s makeup doubleheader against Caldwell on Monday, they will host Philadelphia for another doubleheader at Asbury Field before heading to Post on Saturday, remaining in the CACC. First pitch on Wednesday is set for 3 p.m.
