Members of the Wilmington University men’s soccer team participated in the 4 Miles of Hope Walk/Run on April 6, benefiting a local teenager diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Padua Academy student and 15 year old Pearce Quesenberry recently completed a clinical trial to treat her medulloblastoma (brain tumor) and is compelled to help others as she was helped during treatment. The 4 Miles of Hope Walk/Run will helps kids and their parents through direct financial and personal support as well as to raise awareness to the challenges of coping with this life threatening disease.
The Pearce Q. Foundation, Inc. is an organization dedicated to helping children who suffer with cancer. Our group has firsthand knowledge of the initial and ongoing needs of these children and their families as they struggle to navigate through the treatment cycles.
Pearce Q. Foundation, Inc. was started as a family fund established to assist our name sake Pearce Quesenberry and her family. After Pearce completed her battle with Medulloblastoma she has become an active advocate for children with childhood cancers and their families.
Ten members of the 2012 men’s soccer team took part in the event, running the four miles to help out the cause. The event started at the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Newark.
