Wilmington Golf Concludes Jay Jennison Memorial in 11th Place with 300 Third Round Score

The Wilmington University golf team posted a 300 in the final round of the Jay Jennison Memorial on Tuesday, finishing the two-day, three-round tournament with a 309-292-300 for a 901 and an 11th place finish to start the 2013-14 playing season.

Host Flagler College took its own tournament by 11 strokes with scores of 286-289-290 for a three round score of 865, coming in at one over par for the tournament. Queens (N.C.) had the top individual finisher in Alex Weare who shot four under par for the tournament, including a 68 opening round score on Monday. Weare led his team to a second place finish in the tournament.

Georgia College rounded out the top three teams in the Jay Jennison Memorial, finishing 13 over par with a three round score of 877. Bryan Fox finished second overall for Georgia College after hitting a round low 69 on Tuesday to close out the tournament.

As for the Wildcats, senior Tomasz Pulsakowski led the group on Tuesday team low 71. He collected birdies on the third and eighth holes of The Palencia while only bogeying the seventh to finish at one under par for the day. He finished in a tie for 62nd overall with a three round score of 230 (+14).

Classmate Jerry Temple paced the Wildcats all tournament long, finishing in a team best 22nd after shooting a 75 on Tuesday. For the tournament, Temple shot 77-69-75 for a 221, finishing at five over par.

Fellow senior Andrew Baldo finished 42nd overall, posting his second straight score of 74 on Tuesday. HE went 79-74-74 for a three round score of 227 (+11) at The Palencia. Baldo collected three birdies in his final round, but finishing three over par on the back nine on Tuesday.

Freshman Sam Clark fell off on Tuesday after an incredible debut on Monday, finishing the tournament with a 74-75-80 for a three round score of 229 (+13). Sophomore Andreas Lunding rounded out the Wildcats on the course with an 80-74-83 for a three round score of 237 (+21) at the Jay Jennison Memorial.

Wilmington continues its Fall season in two weeks, as they travel back to Florida to compete in the Guy Harvey Invitational in Palm Beach Gardens on October 7-8. The tournament is hosted by Nova Southeastern at PGA National.
