Wilmington Golfers Round Out Guy Harvey Invitational in 13th Place

Shooting the low round of the tournament for the Wilmington University golf team, Jerry temple paced the Wildcats to a 301 final round score and to a 13th place finish at the Guy Harvey Invitational hosted by Nova Southeastern at the PGA National Fazio Fazio Course on Tuesday.
Temple shot a Wilmington best 70 (-2) on the third and final round on Tuesday, bringing his final score to 72-76-70 for a total of 218 (+2) for the tournament. He moved up 12 spots form the second round to finish the tournament in a tie for 23rd overall.
Sophomore Andreas Lunding moved up the leaderboard with a 73 second round score, but settled for a tie for 56th overall with a 78-73-78 three round total of 229 (+13), good enough for a tie for 56th overall. Senior Tomasz Pulsakowski improved every round, finishing with a 76 in the third and final round on Tuesday. He shot an 81-78-76 for a three round total of 235 (+19), good enough for 73rd overall.
Freshman Freddy Braun bounced back with a 77 third round score, capping a three round score of 77-83-77 for a total score of 237 (+21), good enough for a tie in 75th overall.
Three individuals finished with three round scores of five under par, led by Flagler’s Spencer Schindler’s 67 in the third round to move up from 12th in the final round. He tied Barry’s Adam Svensson and Mario Beltran with a three round total of 211 (-5).
Barry took home the team title, taking control with a 276 second round score. The Buccaneers finished with a three round score of 854, seven strokes ahead of Lynn. Lynn shot an 861 for the tournament followed by Nova Southeastern’s 862 to round out the top three teams.
The Wildcats are now off of a west coast road trip for the rest of the fall season. They start with the Sonoma State Invitational in Santa Rosa, Calif., on October 14.
