The Wilmington University golf team’s spring season opener has been pushed up to today, as the team plays head-to-head against Bentley at Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club in Ocean View, Del. today starting at 10:30 a.m. The baseball team’s home opener has been postponed once again, as the field remains unplayable from this winter season.
The golfers were scheduled to open on Thursday in preparation for their spring opening tournament at Bayside this weekend, but had an opportunity to get on the golf course for the first time this season and jumped at the chance. The team is playing on the Kodiak/Black Bear Championship course at Bear Trap Dunes.
No makeup date has been scheduled for the baseball team’s home opener against West Chester, as both teams are trying to find an available date. After coming back from their annual trip to Florida, the Wildcats are now set to begin the defense of their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference regular season and tournament championships form a year ago, traveling to Chestnut Hill and Concordia later this week.
