After it looked as though the weather made a turn for spring last week, a second winter came along and Winter Storm Wiley has thrown a wrench into this week’s schedule, forcing women’s lacrosse and baseball postponements at the moment.
Both scheduled to play on Tuesday, the Wildcats will once again have their games pushed back due to the weather and poor field conditions.
The women’s lacrosse home game scheduled against Holy Family has been postponed to Monday, March 31 at the WU Athletics Complex. The start time remains the same with the opening draw scheduled for 4 p.m.
Baseball has yet to play at home this year, with Tuesday’s game against PSAC foe Shippensburg has been postponed. The two will now play a doubleheader at Shippensburg on April 21, starting with a 1 p.m. first pitch.
Also for the baseball team, Wednesday’s nonconference game against in-state rival University of Delaware has been moved, as the game will now be played at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Md., starting at 7 p.m.
