Wilmington Baseball Moves Up to No. 19 in Latest NCBWA National Poll; Announces Scheduling Makeups

The Wilmington University baseball team moved back up to No. 19 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association National poll released Tuesday, while remaining in second in the East Region. The team has also announced rescheduled dates for past postponements.
The Wildcats (14-4-1, 4-2 CACC) moved up one spot and back into the 19th slot with 91 votes in the national poll. It was announced on Monday that the Wildcats remained at No. 2 in the East Region, receiving one first place vote and 82 total points. The Wildcats trail Southern New Hampshire with received the other eight first place votes and 89 total points in the East Region. The Penmen are 12th in the national poll.
With all the postponements from March, the team has found enough dates to make up all the games.
The Wildcats will now play West Chester at home on April 7; at Concordia for a doubleheader on April 10; at Shippensburg for a seven-inning doubleheader on April 21; and a single game at Delaware on April 28.
This week, the team hosts Chestnut Hill in a conference doubleheader on Wednesday starting at noon before heading to Felician on Friday for another conference twinbill.
