Wilmington Golf Sits Atop the Leaderboard after the First Round; Andrew Baldo Leads CACC Tournament

Following the first day of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament, the Wilmington University golf team sits in first place by 19 strokes, posting a team score of 301, led by Andrew Baldo’s 72 who is the leader after one round at Blue Bell Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Baldo’s 72 (+1) leads teammate Andreas Lunding by three strokes, as Baldo sits atop the leaderboard after the first round. Lunding posted a 75 (+4) to sit in second place by one stroke.
Tomasz Pulsakowski and Alexander Lautenschlaeger each posted identical 77 (+6) scores to round out the Wilmington team scorers. Pulsakowski and Lautenschlaeger are tied for sixth after the first round. Matt DiEleuterio finished out the Wildcat golfers with a 93 (+22). The top four scorers from each team compile the total team score at the end of each round.
The Wildcats’ round of 301 is 19 strokes better than Nyack, who finished Tuesday with a team score of 320. Concordia sits in third after the first day with a 322, followed by Philadelphia (340), and Chestnut Hill (347) to round out the top five.
The CACC Tournament concludes on Wednesday, as the Wildcats are seeking their fourth straight team championship and an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament.
The Wildcats are in the final foursome for Wednesday’s tee times, as the group will begin teeing off at 9:40 a.m.
