After claiming the past two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South Division regular season titles, the Wilmington University volleyball team looks to take the next step as head coach Kim Huggins-Habbert announces the 2104 schedule.

Prior to getting into the bulk of the conference schedule, the Wildcats have three regional tournaments scheduled to help bulk their resumes for the NCAA Tournament, including one at the WU Athletics Complex.

The season kicks off at the ESU Warrior Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg on September 6-7. Four matches at the ESU Warrior Invitational will help prepare the Wildcats for their CACC and home opener against Chestnut Hill on Wednesday, September 10.

The Wildcats remain in the friendly confines of the WU Athletics Complex the following weekend with the Wildcat Regional Invitational on September 12-13. During their home tournament, the Wildcats will square off against Dowling, Bentley, Merrimack, and Stonehill throughout the two-day tournament. The team also welcomes Holy Family and Millersville to Newark to complete the tournament.

A trip to CACC rivals Georgian Court University on Tuesday, September 16 gives the Wildcats their first true road match of the year, and prepares them for their final regional tournament. The team will travel to American International College on September 19-20 to take part in the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational.

Following the tournament at AIC, the Wildcats get into the bulk of their CACC and single-match dates, starting with a home contest against USciences on September 24. September rounds out with a pair of road games in the CACC, first at Felician on September 27 and at Philadelphia on September 30.

October features the final nonconference match of the regular season for the Wildcats, as they travel to Kutztown on October 7.

Throughout the rest of the regular season the Wildcats host Holy Family, Caldwell, Goldey-Beacom, Georgian Court, Philadelphia, Post, Concordia, and Nyack.

The Wildcats head to Bloomfield, Dominican, USciences, Chestnut Hill, Goldey-Beacom, and Holy Family prior to the start of the CACC Tournament.

The regular season commences on Saturday, November 8 when the Wildcats host Nyack, as they look to be in the top four teams in the South Division.

The CACC Tournament Quarterfinals will be held at the higher seed on November 11 with the winners meeting at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J., for the CACC Semifinals. The Semifinals are set for Friday, November 14, while the CACC Tournament Championship will be crowned on Saturday, November 15.

The CACC Tournament Champion will earn the CACC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament, a spot in which the Wildcats haven’t been to since the 2004 season.
