Cross Country's Steele and Burcham Earn CACC Weekly Honors

Wilmington University is pleased to announce that cross-country standouts Bill Steele (Rising Sun HS/Conowingo, MD) and Danielle Burcham (C. Milton Wright HS/Bel Air, MD) have been awarded Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) weekly honors for their performances last week.
Steele, a freshman runner, earned CACC Male Rookie of the Week honors, after finishing as the top CACC rookie at the NCAA Regional. He finished the 10k course in 26th place, turning in a time of 33:01:60. His effort helped the ‘Cats to place seventh out of 26 institutions, and a final regional ranking of seveth, the highest in school and conference history.
Burcham, a senior harrier, earned honorable mention after finishing 10th at the NCAA Regional in a 6k time of 23:33:3. This showing helped lead her team to a 14th place finish out of 25 schools. She has now earned All-Region honors for the second straight season.
