Wilmington University Cheerleading Team Wins Award at National Cheerleading Association Camp

The 2008 Wilmington University Cheerleading Team.
The Wilmington University Cheerleading team received the highest award at the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Camp held from July 30 to August 1, 2008. Winning the award has earned the Cheerleading team a fully paid trip to the National Cheerleading Association’s College National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The award, worth over $20,000, will cover the team’s travel expenses including airfare, hotel, and competition fees. The NCA College National Championships will be held from April 8 to April 12, 2009 in Daytona Beach. The competition is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country and features cheerleading teams from across the world.
This recognition is the Cheerleading teams’ first step to becoming a nationally recognized team. The team is still looking for more cheerleaders! Join the excitement as they prepare for the National Championship! Tryouts are September 15 and 16 from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., at the Tri-State CheerNastics in New Castle.
