Biography

2013 Season: Appeared in 49 games as a junior, making 43 starts at first base and three starts as the designated hitter – named to the CACC All-Tournament Team – batted 5-for-9 with four RBI and two runs scored in three games during the CACC Tournament – batted 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, four RBI, and a run scored against Chestnut Hill in the CACC Tournament Championship game – also knocked in four runners with a 3-for-4 performance against Caldwell, hitting two doubles – batted 6-for-9 with five runs scored, and three RBI in a doubleheader against Bloomfield – hit his lone home run of the year against USciences, a two run shot to right field on March 20.

2012 Season: Appeared in 27 games as a sophomore, making nine starts at first base – team went 6-3 in nine starts at first base – hit lone double of the season against Chestnut Hill, going 1-for-2 with a run scored – scored a season high two runs against Saint Rose in Florida.

2011 Season: Appeared in 19 games as a freshman, making 10 starts – started seven games at second base and three games as the team’s designated hitter – team went 7-0 when he started at second base – collected first collegiate hit at Palm Beach Atlantic, going 1-for-4 – went 1-for-3 with two RBI at St. Thomas (Fla.) – scored season high two runs against Bloomfield in Florida, and at Lynn.

High School: Four-year letterwinner as a middle infielder at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School – helped team with the 2009 Group 3 New Jersey State Championship as a junior – named All-Division as a junior and a senior while picking up First Team All-Group 3 and Second Team All-Conference honors in 2009 – also played basketball all four years at John F. Kennedy as a guard – named All-Division each of his final three division (2008-10) and earned Second Team All-Conference as a senior. 

Personal: Joseph John Marciano – son of Joe and Allison Marciano – is the middle child with two siblings, Vinny and Sydney – criminal justice major at Wilmington with aspirations of becoming a New Jersey State Police officer – if he could coach a team for a year, he would choose the Notre Dame football team – if he could date a celebrity, he would date Samantha Ponder – if he could have the perfect meal prepared it would be steak with corn on the cob and his mom’s chicken and rice.
