Biography

2014 Season: Appeared in 11 games on the mound for the Wildcats, making seven starts – also started five games in the field, going 5-for-20 with a double, three RBI, and two runs scored – named Third Team Daktronics All-American – named first Team Daktronics All-East Region – named Second Team NCBWA and ABCA All-East Region – named First Team All-CACC – become the first male student-athlete in Wilmington history to be named Capital One Academic All-American, earning Second Team – also named First Team Capital One Academic All-District One – led the CACC with a 0.96 ERA and finished second with nine wins – was third in the CACC with 11.11 strikeouts per nine innings pitched, striking out 58 batters in 47 innings pitched – the Wildcats went 6-1 in his seven starts – struck out a season high 11 batters twice, first at USciences and again at Kutztown, both in six innings – went 29.2 innings between giving up runs – batted for himself in a relief appearance at Caldwell, going 1-for-1 and scoring the eventual winning run in the 14th inning – hit a double at Queens on April 16.

2013 Season: Made four starts on the mound before an injury sidelined the junior for the rest of the season – earned a medical redshirt and the season can be made up – tossed seven scoreless innings with five strikeouts in season debut against St. Thomas Aquinas – Also started games against Franklin Pierce, Saint Rose and Dominican before being sidelined.

2012 Season: Team’s top arm on the mound as a sophomore, making 11 starts and 18 appearances – named Second Team ABCA All-East Region, NCAA Division II East Region All-Tournament Team, CACC Tournament MVP, and Second Team All-CACC – set a CACC Tournament record with 16 strikeouts in a complete game shutout against Dominican on May 10 – then tossed eight scoreless innings in the NCAA East Region Tournament against Le Moyne, a game the team would win in the 10th inning – struck out 10 batters against UMass-Lowell in Florida, and 10 batters at Concordia on April 14 – led the starters with a 1.70 ERA and the third most strikeouts (96) in a single season in program history.

2011 Season: Second on the team with 16 appearance, making 10 starts as a freshman – collected a team high nine wins – named ABCA Rookie of the Year, CACC Rookie of the Year, and Second Team All-CACC – third on the team and second among starters with a 1.92 ERA – second on the team with 88 strikeouts in 70.1 innings – earned first career win in five innings of work against Bloomfield on March 7, striking out nine batters – struck out a season high 12 batters in six innings against Philadelphia on April 6 – also struck out double digits against Adelphi, and Washington Adventist – won four straight appearances, including three starts, from April 6 to April 27, improving to 7-0 at that point – defeated Dominican, 10-3, in the CACC Championship game, tossing seven inning and striking out seven.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Hodgson Vo Tech as a pitcher and an outfielder for head coach Chris Moxley – named First Team All-State as a pitcher and an outfielder as a senior in 2010 – earned Second Team All-Conference honors as a freshman sophomore and a junior – earned District 2 All-District as a pitcher – also played quarterback at Hodgson Vo Tech, helping the team to a DIAA State Football DII Championship and a 13-0 record in 2007.

Personal: Jamie E. Treml – son of Michael and Dina Treml – has an older brother, Shane – business management major at Wilmington University – from Newark, Del. – his favorite athlete is Clayton Kershaw – other than baseball he enjoys surfing, fishing, and the outdoors – if he could be anything besides a college or professional athlete he would want to be a professional waterman – if he could date a celebrity, he would date Mila Kunis – the perfect meal would be mussels marinara, lobster ravioli’s, and garlic bread with olive oil – the greatest piece of advice he’s ever received is that “it pays to be a winner.”
