Biography

2014 Season: Appeared 11 games as a left-handed started, making eight starts – finished seventh in the CACC with a 2.31 ERA – tied for seventh in the CACC with five wins – named Second Team All-CACC – struck out a season high nine batters in 7.0 scoreless innings on April 2 in the first game of a doubleheader against Chestnut Hill – pitched the third most innings on the team.

2013 Season: Utility pitcher for the Wildcats, appearing in 16 games while making five starts as a sophomore – saved his best outing for last as he started a win-or-go-home game in the NCAA East Regional Tournament against Southern New Hampshire – tossed six scoreless innings while giving up one hit and striking out five batters – earned his first win of the season after pitching five innings at Chestnut Hill on March 23 – also defeated Philadelphia in the final game of the regular season, tossing five scoreless innings.

2012 Season: Appeared in 16 games as a freshman, making his first career start against Kutztown on April 10 – finished fifth on the team with a 2.70 ERA, tossing 20 innings with only allowing six earned runs – made first career appearance against St. Thomas (Fla.) on March 6, pitching 1.1 innings and picking up a strikeout – has a season high two strikeouts against USciences and at Delaware – appeared in seven straight games without allowing a run from March 17 to April 7.

High School: Three-Year letterwinner at Marple-Newtown High School for head coach Steve Smith – earned Second Team All-Central League and All-Delaware County while at Marple-Newtown – named to the Honorable Mention list of top 25 pitchers to watch in southeast Pennsylvania.

Personal: Robert “Rob” Anthony Gore – son of Daryl and Lori Gore – middle child with an older sister, Brianna, and younger brother, Nick – majoring in business management at Wilmington – from Broomall, Pa. – his favorite all-time athletes are Tiger Woods and Deion Sanders – other than baseball, he enjoys golfing and surfing – the most played song on his iPod is Avicii’s “Levels” – if he could date a celebrity he would date Kendall Jenner.
