High School: Four year letterwinner at Gar-Field under coaches Steve Denard and Mike Meadows – named second team all-district as a utility player as a senior – named first team all-district as a DH and second team all-district as a shortstop as a junior – earned honorable mention all-district as a freshman.

Personal: John R. “J.R.” Gregory – son of Danny and Dina Gregory – older brother, JT Gregory, played baseball for two seasons at Chesapeake CC and two seasons at Wilmington, graduating in 2010 – majoring in accounting and finance at Wilmington University.
