Biography

2014 Season: Appeared in 19 games as a sophomore, making three starts in the outfield as a designated hitter – picked up his first hit of the season against Philadelphia on March 22, going 1-for-2 – hit a double on April 2 against Chestnut Hill – hit a double at Kutztown on April 24.

2013 Season: Appeared in 22 games while making nine starts in the outfield, at first base, and designated hitter – hit a double at Dominican, knocking in a run while scoring twice – also hit a double in his at-bat against Chestnut Hill in the CACC Championship game, knocking in two runs.

High School: Four year letterwinner at Gar-Field under coaches Steve Denard and Mike Meadows – named second team all-district as a utility player as a senior – named first team all-district as a DH and second team all-district as a shortstop as a junior – earned honorable mention all-district as a freshman.

Personal: John R. “J.R.” Gregory – son of Danny and Dina Gregory – older brother, JT Gregory, played baseball for two seasons at Chesapeake CC and two seasons at Wilmington, graduating in 2010 – majoring in accounting and finance at Wilmington University – from Woodbridge, Va. – favorite all-time athlete is Ken Griffey, Jr. – other than baseball he enjoys fishing – if he could date a celebrity he would date Jennifer Lopez – if he could be someone else for a day, he would be Floyd Mayweather – his favorite professional sports teams are the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
