Biography

2013 Season: Staple of the batting order in his first season as a Wildcat – set a new program record with 24 doubles in a season – also tied the single season mark with 76 hits – appeared in all 57 games, starting 56 at third base and designated hitter – named First Team All-CACC – named First Team All-East Region for NCBWA and ABCA/Rawlings – named Second Team All-East Region for Daktronics – named First Team ABCA/Rawlings East Region Gold Glove – finished second in NCAA Division II with 24 doubles – finished 22nd in NCAA Division II with 123 total bases – led the CACC with 46 runs batted in – hit a walk-off home run against Southern New Hampshire in the 10th inning to send the team to the NCAA East Region Tournament Championship game – collected a season high four hits at Bridgeport, going 4-for-4 with two doubles – hit a grand slam against UMES for a season high four RBIs.

At Cecil CC: Played two seasons for Charlie O’Brien – earned second team NJCAA All-American as a sophomore in 2012 – named first team Region XX in both seasons – played in 57 games in 2012, leading the team to a 36-22 record – collected 85 hits as a sophomore, 39 of which went for doubles, 16 home runs and one triple, hitting .423 – knocked in 67 RBIs while scoring 72 runs – helped the team to a 39-15-1 record and a Region XX appearance as a freshman – hit .411 in 2011 with 53 RBI and 65 runs scored in 52 games – hit 26 doubles and had 13 home runs as a freshman.

High School: Three year letterwinner at Avon Grove under head coach Tim Rector – played shortstop and outfield – named All-Ches-Mont during his tenure in high school.

Personal: Josh Ryan Hampton – son of Sandra Hampton – has an older brother, Jeremy – majoring in criminal justice at Wilmington University – his favorite all-time athlete is Chipper Jones – if he could date a celebrity, it would be Mila Kunis – he considers his mom his hero because “she is the strongest person I know”.
