Biography

2014 Season: Appeared in 15 games in his first season as a Wildcats, making three starts – picked up his first career hit as a Wildcat on March 27, a double in game two at Caldwell – picked up his first RBI in game two against Chestnut Hill on April 2 – also hit a double at Queens on April 16.

At Frostburg State: Played two seasons – helped the Bobcats to the 2011 CAC Tournament Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament – led the team with 14 doubles as a freshman, hitting .282 – hit two home runs and two double as a sophomore, while also appearing in six games on the mound

High School: Three year letterwinner at A.I. DuPont High School as a first baseman and pitcher for head coach Darren Brodie – named Delaware All-State as a pitcher as a senior in 2010.

Personal: Tyler F. Hawthorne – son of Donald and Linda Hawthorne – has a younger brother, Trevor – majoring in media design at Wilmington University – from Wilmington, Del. – his favorite athlete is Carlos Gonzalez – his perfect prepared meal would be shrimp etoufee – if he could be someone for a day, he would be Gene Simmons.
