Biography

2014 Season: Appeared in nine games while making two starts on the mound in his first season a Wildcat – pitched a season high 4.2 innings in his first appearance of the season at St. Thomas (Fla.) on March 5 – earned the victory against West Chester in the Bill Giles Invitational Championship game at Citizens Bank Park with two innings of relief, striking out three batters – also earned the victory at Delaware in throwing 1.2 of relief.

At University of Maryland Eastern Shore: Played a season at UMES, pitching in 11 contests – became the team’s Friday starter, finishing his freshman season with 1-5 record and a 6.56 ERA.

High School: Four year letterwinner at Vineland High School in Vineland, N.J., for head coach John Malatesk – named First Team All-Area – named Second Team All-Conference and All-Atlantic City Press – graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Personal: Chris S. Lopez – son of Andre and Carmen Lopez – has two older brothers, Jonathan and Kenny – brother, Jonathan, played baseball at Campbell University (2009-10) – majoring in sports management at Wilmington University with aspirations of becoming an athletic director – from Vineland, N.J. – his all-time favorite athlete is Allen Iverson – his favorite professional sports teams are the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles – his favorite movie if Friday Night Lights – if he could date a celebrity he would date Melanie Iglesias.
