Biography

At Delaware State: Played one season at Delaware State in 2013 – named First Team All-MEAC at first baes – batted .322 for the season, tied for third in the MEAC with eight home runs – finished fifth in the conference with a .595 slugging percentage, and seventh with 40 RBI.

High School: Four year letterwinner in softball at Delmar High School for head coach Michelle Niblett – named Second Team All-Conference as a junior and senior at third base – named All-Conference Honorable mention as a sophomore – also played basketball and volleyball at Delmar – named Second Team All-Conference in basketball as a senior – named All-Conference Honorable mention in basketball as a junior – honor roll student.

Personal: Ashley Louise Bennett – daughter of David and Annette Bennett – majoring in middle level education at Wilmington University – her all-time favorite athlete is Tom Brady – the greatest piece of advice she has ever received was “don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game” – her favorite cartoon character is Scooby Doo.
