Biography
At Christopher Newport: Started and played in all but one game as a freshman defender in 2011 – all four of her shots reached the cage – helped the Captains to a 13-6 overall record and a perfect 7-0 USA South Conference record, a USA South Tournament Championship and a berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament
High School: Two sport athlete at Middletown High School, earning four letters in each lacrosse and field hockey – helped lead the lacrosse team to the Delaware State Tournament as a senior defender in 2010 – two time First Team All-Blue Hen Conference performer (2009-10) in lacrosse, as well as being named Second Team in 2008 – named Second Team All-State as a senior in 2010 and Honorable Mention as a junior – earned the Scholar Athlete Award in 2010 – also an All-Blue Hen Conference performer in field hockey, earning Second Team honors as a junior in 2008 and First Team in 2009 – National Honor Society member – honor roll student all four years – Academic All-Star in both field hockey and lacrosse all four year.
Personal: Alison (Ali) E. Kern – daughter of Walter and Pamela Kern – has two siblings, Thomas and Ryan – cousin, Adam Cunnins, played lacrosse at Towson University (2002-05) – majoring in middle level education with a concentration in math and science with aspirations of becoming a middle school teacher and coach
