Dave Bugda - Head Coach

David Bugda returns for his sixth season as the Head Coach of the Women’s Lacrosse Team at Wilmington University. Coach Bugda started the women’s lacrosse program in the spring of 2004 and has been the head coach for six of the seven lacrosse seasons. In 2004, he guided the team during their inaugural season to an impressive 9-3 record, which included wins over Division II, St. Thomas Aquinas College and Division III powers, Arcadia University and Bridgeport College. In Coach Bugda’s five seasons, the Wildcats have a combined record of 44-27 (7-5 CACC).

Coach Bugda is originally from Baltimore, but has lived in Harford County, Maryland for the past 24 years and currently resides in Havre de Grace, Maryland with his wife, Donna.

Bugda attended both Community College of Baltimore and Essex Community College where he majored in Criminal Justice.

In addition to his lacrosse duties, Coach Bugda has also served in the roles of head coach and assistant coach of the women’s soccer team at Wilmington, over the past eight years.
