Colby Ruggiero - Assistant Coach
Colby (Bugda) Ruggiero begins her second season as an assistant coach with the Wilmington University coaching staff. She is a 2007 graduate of Wilmington, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Internet and Network Design. Colby currently is enrolled in the Masters program and majoring in Internet and Web Design.
A graduate of Bel Air High School in Bel Air, Maryland in 2003, she played four years varsity soccer and three years varsity lacrosse.
While attending Wilmington University, Colby was a four-year starter, never missing a start in her soccer or lacrosse career. A two-year team captain, three-time First Team All-CACC selection, and Second Team All New England Region honoree in soccer, she closed out her collegiate career as one of the most decorated women's soccer players in Wilmington University history.
Coach Ruggiero also was a part of the inaugural women's lacrosse team and finished her career with some impressive numbers. In four years she amassed 164 goals, 95 assists, and 270 career points. She led the 'Cats three out of her four years in goals, and was first every year in assists and points.
