Pete Henyan - Assistant Coach

Pete Henyan begins his second year as an assistant coach of the Wildcat baseball program. A graduate of Wilmington University, Coach Henyan was a three-year standout for the Wildcats.

Henyan was a three-year starter for Wilmington, and led the ‘Cats to the NAIA Super Regional Tournament in 2003. He was named NAIA All Region X and All-American during the ’03 season. Coach Henyan was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2004 and 2005, and was a three-time All-CACC selection.

After completing his senior season in 2005, Henyan signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as a rookie free agent and played a season with the Batavia Muckdogs of the New York-Penn League. He then signed with the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings of the United League. Henyan pitched for the Whitewings for a short period of time before injuring his arm, and then was named their pitching coach for the remainder of the season.

Coach Henyan's primary responsibilities will be working with the infielders and pitching staff.
