Legal Studies Advisory Board
The Legal Studies Advisory board is composed of licensed attorneys, professional paralegals, and other legal professionals throughout the region. The board meets quarterly to discuss current curriculum, student concerns, and the current status of professionals working in the legal field.
Advisory Board Mission
The primary purpose of the Legal Studies Advisory Board is to keep the program in touch with the community it serves and to drive the ongoing evaluation and improvement of the program.
The primary functions of the Advisory Board are to:
ASSIST instructors and administrators by recommending potential instructors or participating in special events as guest speakers or judges.
ADVISE and make recommendations designed to improve the program, including reviewing program curriculum, interpreting survey results, and offering opinions on training techniques, textbooks, software, and equipment.
ADVOCATE and support the program by referring potential students, notifying the administration of potential job opportunities, and working to develop internship opportunities for students.
