Making Your Course Available/Unavailable
When your Blackboard course is created (see Semester Procedures) it will be automatically available for students to access after they register for the course. This is how students will be able to download your course syllabus.
You must not make the course unavailable to students until after the course end date! Making your course unavailable prior to the semester or during the course will cause confusion for students who will expect to see it in their Blackboard course list (My Course List).
You can selectively turn individual parts of the course on and off (available/unavailable) as you create and modify your course content prior to the course start date.
Below are instructions for making your course available or unavailable.
- Click on the "control panel" from your course window.

- Click on "Setting" under "Course Options"

- Click on "Course Availability"

- Change "Make Course Available" to yes (student will see it their course list) or "No" (students will not see it in their course list).

- Click Submit at the bottom of the page
