Respondus LockDown Browser is a secure browser for taking tests
in Blackboard. It prevents the user from printing, copying, going to
another URL, or accessing other applications during a test. If a
Blackboard test requires that Respondus LockDown
Browser be used, you will not be able to take the test with a
standard web browser. Respondus LockDown Browser should only be used for
taking Blackboard tests or quizzes that require its use. It should not
be used in other areas of Blackboard.

LockDown Browser is a web browser for use with tests and quizzes in Blackboard that require its use. LockDown Browser should NOT be used for any items in Blackboard that do not require its use. A test or quiz will be clearly labeled as needing LockDown Browser when it is required.
