Jeffrey Martino - Head Coach
This is Jeffrey’s second year as the head coach of the Wilmington University Cheerleading Team. He is a former four-year varsity member and two-year captain of the University of Delaware Cheerleading squad who captured the 2001 UCA College National Championship. After graduation, Jeff became the assistant head cheerleading coach and helped the team finish in the top two at the UCA Championships in Orlando, Florida.
Coach Martino is the owner and operator of Tri-State CheerNastics, Inc. in New Castle, Delaware. A service company designed to help cheerleaders learn how to tumble and become a better cheerleader, Tri-State CheerNastics is also the host for an annual cheerleading competition, “Cheer for Charity”, which benefits A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children.
Jeffrey is also the President re-elect of the Delaware Cheerleading Coaches Association and has implemented many new programs for DCCA including the annual coaches' clinic, the DCCA Expo, and the high school senior scholarship program.
He has coached and choreographed for many recreational, high school, college, and all-star cheerleading programs in the Tri-State area. He is AACCA certified, NCA Collegiate Safety certified, NCA Judges certified, and USAG certified. Coach Martino received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 2001.
