Topics in General Studies
This course is an intensive study of contemporary topics and issues in General Studies.
Prerequisite(s): Permission required.
General Studies Senior Seminar
Students will discuss concepts that help to develop attributes that lead to continued professional success. Emphasis will be placed refining communication, self-management, and other “soft” skills that determine one’s place in an organization. Students in this capstone course will demonstrate their mastery of professional skills, including oral and written communication, understanding of legal and ethical issues, critical thinking and problem solving, and information literacy. Students will have the opportunity to explore career interests and/or investigate and address an issue in their career field. The content and outcomes in this course assess the broad knowledge and understanding gained in the General Studies curriculum.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 102, ENG 111, MAT 205 or equivalent, and senior status (at least 90 credit hours)
