Biography

Roxanne Satterfield is an adjunct instructor, teaching in the Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration programs in the College of Business at Wilmington University in New Castle, DE.

Before her teaching career, Dr. Satterfield worked as project management specialist for Boeing Rotorcraft Systems for more than 25 years, with an additional 18 years of managerial work for other companies.  Throughout her career, she specialized in value stream mapping and analysis, contract administration, consultant management and other administrative duties.

Dr. Satterfield completed a bachelor of science degree in liberal studies with a 4.0 grade point average at Neumann University in Aston, PA.  She was named Neumann’s outstanding continuing education student at graduation.  She continued her education, earning a master’s degree in strategic leadership, also at Neumann with a perfect GPA. She earned her doctor of business administration degree with high honors from Wilmington University in New Castle, DE. Her doctoral dissertation is entitled “Working in a Focus and Finish Environment: Reducing Burnout while Increasing Worker Well-Being.” In addition, Dr. Satterfield has completed numerous professional training programs on leadership, procurement integrity, export compliance, industrial and information security and business ethics.

Dr. Satterfield has been involved in a wide variety of civic, professional, church and charitable activities in the communities where she has lived and worked.  At Wilmington University, she continues to serve on faculty program and curriculum development committees and served as a mentor for students at the master’s and doctoral degree levels.
