Biography

Dr. Robin B. Weinstein is a life-long resident of southern New Jersey. He grew up in Bridgeton, and is now a resident of Upper Deerfield. He is currently serving his sixth year as interim Pastor at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Dr. Weinstein is a full-time Assistant Professor at the College of Business of Wilmington University. Dr. Weinstein is a graduate of Bridgeton High School where he served as Student Body President. He attended Eastern University in Saint Davids, PA and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice, Law, and Society. During his time at Eastern University he held a number of leadership roles, including Student Government President in which he spearheaded a campaign to make the university more environmentally friendly by convincing the students and administration to purchase renewable energy. Dr. Weinstein's scholarship and pragmatic activism earned him a number of accolades including: Cum Laude honors, Who’s Who Among College & University Students, Student Body Award, and the Faculty Achievement Award. Dr. Weinstein is also a graduate of Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Theological Studies in Faith and Public Policy. As the first Wilberforce Public Policy Research Scholar at the Sider Center, Robin acted as a principal researcher to revise widely read social justice publications such as Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger and Just Generosity: A New Vision for Overcoming Poverty in America. Dr. Weinstein has teaches biblical studies, theological studies, philosophy, political science, human resources, labor relations, and business courses. He has taught for Eastern University, Cumberland County College, and Salem Community College. Dr. Weinstein has served as the Deputy County Administrator for Salem County, NJ. Along with his duties as Deputy County Administrator, he served as the Director of Administrative Services which houses: human resources, payroll, tourism and public information, shared services, and the Cultural and Heritage Commission. He served as the county’s first Human Resources Director and Public Information Officer. His department was also responsible for the development and successful implementation of the county marketing campaign. Dr. Weinstein also served as the county Diversity Council Chairman and Labor Relations Officer. Dr. Weinstein's community activities include: Chairman of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Salem County and a board member of Witney's Lights. He is also a member of Evangelicals for Social Action, World Affairs Council of Philadelphia and the National Association of Evangelicals. Dr. Weinstein is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and earned his doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University.
