Master of Education

The Division of Education at Wilmington University reserves the right to change requirements to comply with any licensure/certification mandates by the Professional Standards Board and/or the Delaware State Department of Education.

Admission

Please refer to The Graduate Admissions Process section for general graduate admission information. For consideration and admission to the Master of Education in Elementary Special Education program:

  1. Download the Application Materials PDF File

    The packet includes:
    • A Letter From the Director of Admissions
    • A List of Graduate Programs at Wilmington University
    • An Application for Graduate Admission
  2. Submit all completed documents with a $30.00 non-refundable application fee to Wilmington University, Office of Graduate Admissions.
  3. Submit all official transcripts from accredited colleges, universities, or other degree-granting institutions, verifying completion of a bachelor’s degree and other coursework.
    • Have official transcript(s) sent directly to the Wilmington University Graduate Admissions Office from past colleges and/or universities. Transcripts must be official, indicating the college or university seal, in a sealed envelope.
  4. Schedule a Program Planning Conference with a Graduate Admissions Associate or a Program coordinator/advisor at the site of attendence.
  5. Complete a writing assessment at the time of the Program Planning Conference.
  6. All graduate candidacy and admission requirements must be met by the completion of the fourth course.
