Forward Your E-mail
You can set your Wilmington University e-mail account to automatically forward your messages to a different e-mail address for your convenience.
Caution: There are some drawbacks to using this feature. You must always remember to keep a current, valid e-mail address set in the forwarding option. If your forwarding address changes and you do not update your WU account, you may not receive important e-mail communications from Wilmington University or your instructor. Also, when you reply to messages sent to your WU e-mail address that have been forwarded to a different address, your reply comes from the forwarding e-mail address. The recipient (perhaps your instructor) may not recognize that address as coming from you (could cause your message to be blocked).
Tip: for a convenient way to get your WU e-mail without forwarding, try using e-mail software such as Outlook to check and read your WU e-mail. Here's how…
Instructions
- Log in to your e-mail account
- In the upper-right corner of your browser window, click Settings
- Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab
- Click the settings as below:

- Choose an option for what happens after the message is forwarded. Caution: if you choose "delete Wilmington University's copy", you will have no record of messages sent to you at your WU address.
