Wilmington University (WU) uses a Purchasing Card program (currently Visa) for day-to-day departmental needs. The Purchasing Card program gives users the flexibility to purchase items on an as-needed basis and allocate those expenses to the appropriate University account.
PCard programs have proven to be an effective and efficient tool in the area of procurement on many campuses. It has allowed cardholders to obtain goods and services quickly and efficiently by dealing directly with vendors and reducing the upfront “paper processing”. It is Wilmington University’s intention that the PCard program benefits all who use it.

document for specific requirements and conditions regarding the program.
An eligible Approving Supervisor must complete and submit a PCard Application/Change Request Form for the intended cardholder. The application must be complete, with all the necessary approvals. The completed application should be sent to the Vice President and CFO who is the issuing authority.
