The Pre-RN Option is aimed exclusively at eligible second-level associate degree nursing students who may be waiting for clinical placement at their home institutions, or who wish to begin work on their BSN while continuing to complete the associate degree. This option will allow nursing students to earn credits toward their BSN on a part-time basis before completing their Associate Degree in Nursing at the partner institution. The Pre-RN course of study is initially denoted as a General Studies major so that students remain in a degree-seeking program.
The Pre-RN option includes specific upper level core courses and Health (HLT) electives that include high profile contemporary topics. The Pre-RN students will enjoy the benefits of socialization and mentoring opportunities while taking courses with RN to BSN students.
Pre-RN students must complete any lower level core requirements at Wilmington University and then may take the following courses:
HLT Upper Level Health Elective (3 credits)
ALH 323
