This award was established in 2009 through a gracious gift in memory of Marguerite “Mig” Reardon, a graduate of Wilmington University’s Nurse Practitioner program.
Mig is fondly remembered by her passion for the nursing profession, quick wit, infectious smile, and determination.
Each year, this scholarship provides financial assistance to one (1) Registered Nurse pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing in hopes of fostering and promoting his or her continued professional development.
While the scholarship is based primarily on financial need, the applicant must also define how this award will help them to attain their professional goals. Furthermore, the applicant must have completed ninety (90) credits in the College of Health Profession’s BSN program upon submission of the application. The recipient will benefit from a one-time, non-renewable $1000 scholarship.
A call for applications is made each spring with the scholarship recipient notified that summer. All awards are made through the Wilmington University College of Health Profession’s Scholarship Committee.
