Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.

Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print [+]

Mental Measurements Yearbook, produced by the Buros Institute at the University of Nebraska, provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 contemporary testing instruments. Designed for an audience ranging from novice test consumers to experienced professionals, the MMY series contains information essential for a complete evaluation of test products within such diverse areas as psychology, education, business, and leadership. First published by Oscar K. Buros, the MMY series allows users to make knowledgeable judgments and informed selection decisions about the increasingly complex world of testing. MMY provides coverage from Volume 1 to the present. Also produced by the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements at the University of Nebraska, Tests in Print (TIP) serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. Mergent Online is a source for finding fifteen years' worth of company financial information, personnel information, assets, SEC filings, and histories for more than 10,000 publicly owned companies from around the world. SEC filings are available as far back as 1993. In addition to providing information about companies, Mergent also provides tools for building comparative reports for companies from a variety of industries. SEC filings are updated daily. Summary equity reports are updated weekly. Company annual reports are updated quarterly.

Primary Search provides full text for nearly 70 popular, magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text information dates as far back as 1990.

PrivCo [+]

Although information on publicly traded companies is available in multiple locations because of federal requirements, that on privately held firms is more elusive. PrivCo helps to fill this gap by providing reports on more than 31,000 private companies and 8,500 private investors (including venture capitalists). The PrivCo interface is well designed and fairly intuitive to navigate. The database includes some useful export features. Multiple reports from results lists can easily be downloaded as Excel files, allowing analysis and comparisons of up to 100 companies at a time.
