Ron Wilson - Assistant CoachCoach Wilson is in his second year on the Wildcats’ coaching staff. As a player, Wilson was a Nike All-American and Honorable Mention McDonald's All American at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. He then went to star at Villanova University, where he played an important role in helping the Wildcats claim the NIT Championship team in1994. Wilson also was a member of the 1995 team that won the Big East title. After he graduated from Villanova in 1995, Wilson played professionally in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He also played for the world famous Harlem Globetrotters. At the conclusion of his playing career, Wilson coached for two years at Friends Central High School in Philadelphia, and later spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Holy Family University. Coach Wilson will be relied upon for his extensive experience, especially in working with the post players. Coach Wilson currently resides in Upper Darby, PA with his wife and three children. |
