Miles Dean

Miles Dean - Assistant Coach

Miles Dean joins the Wilmington University coaching staff in 2007. He played his collegiate career at University of South Carolina at Spartanburg (currently University of South Carolina-Upstate), alongside fellow Assistant Coach Musa Kaba. In his four years at Spartanburg, Miles helped the Spartans win four straight Peach Belt Conference titles, earning berths in the NCAA Division II Tournament each season. Dean also helped lead the Spartans to the 1995 Division II National Championship game. Miles led the Spartans in scoring three of his four years, and finished with 50 goals for his career. Dean is currently in the Spartans “top ten” for career points, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Coach Dean, a native of Newark, Delaware, continued his soccer career in the professional ranks when he joined the Delaware Wizards in 1997. After a brief stint with the Wizards, Dean turned his attention to coaching. In 2004, Dean helped lead Tatnall High School to a Delaware High School Soccer State Championship. Coach Dean, currently coaches a U-17 Super Y team in Delaware.
