Nick Papanicolas - Head CoachCoach Papanicolas begins his fourth year at the helm of the Wildcat Men's Soccer program. The 2006 CACC Coach of the Year, Papanicolas led last year's squad to the CACC playoffs with a 11-5-4 record. All of his squads have qualified for the playoffs, and the 2006 team broke new ground, garnering a sixth place regional ranking. In the 2003 season, he was an assistant and was instrumental in the Wildcat's return to the top of the conference with a regular season record of 10-7-3. Coach Papanicolas came to Wilmington after coaching for three years (2000-2002) at Division III Rowan University, where the team culminated a record of 58-10-2. Nick received his Bachelors degree at Rowan where he was a three year starter on the soccer team. During his tenure as a player, Nick led the team in scoring in his sophomore season and was captain for his junior and senior seasons. In his three years as a player, he led the Profs to three NCAA berths and the 1998 Final Four. Coach Papanicolas holds a Bachelors Degree in Art Education and a Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration. He currently works in the University's Student Affairs Department . |
