Big Things Planned for Wilmington Vs. Goldey-Beacom Basketball Games

February 15, 2008—New Castle, DE. The Wilmington University Student Athletic Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) will be sponsoring a Silent Auction on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Pratt Center, during the women's and men's basketball games against rival Goldey-Beacom College.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation in conjunction with the NCAA's and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's (CACC) fundraising efforts. Each athletic team at Wilmington will be contributing a gift basket to the Silent Auction, and all baskets will be auctioned off at the end of the evening.

Following the women's game, the President of Wilmington University, Dr. Jack Varsalona, will be a guest coach during the first half the men's basketball game against the Lightning. Dr. Varsalona will be on the sidelines assisting the coaching staff of the Wildcats. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
